Our kapa Haka group were all ready to go on stage when...but just before we went on stage Gem from what now came on stage and had a t -shirt gun our group was so disappointed. Finally it was time for u to come on stage I was so nervous. First the boys preformed three Hamas and the girls preformed two waiatas. When we came of stage I was so proud of my preformance. When the cultural festival was over we came back to school and reflected on our day.

How Kiwis build a hangi

A hangi is usually done when there is a celebration on or something like that. Now I would like to tell you how kiwis build a hangi.

Firstly you need to dig a hole, you need to dig it about the size of your basket. After you have dug the hole, you need to put logs in from biggest to smallest. Now you need to put volcanic rocks on top of the logs.

If you put normal rocks on the hangi they will blow up.Once the rocks have fallen to the ground that means that the fire is ready. Now that the fire is ready the basket can be put in the hole for the food to cook.

Now that the basket is in the hole for the food to cook, you can relax for 3-4 hours so the food can cook properly. While you relax you could also get some newspaper ready to wrap the food.

Now that the food is cooked you can take it home eat your delicious hangi.

Lauras Whizz Cars

In week 6 whaea Sam brought up an idea make WHIZZ CARS. Whizz cars a ran by co2 gas canisters ,the wood that we used was balsa wood. Balsa wood is easily breakable wood. When they arrived we had   to follow about 7 steps.
STEPS WE NEEDED TO FOLLOW :
1.We needed to break 7 bits of balsa wood off the main body
2.we needed to sand it to make the pieces of balsa wood smooth
3.afterwards we needed to to hot glue gun all the pieces on to the main part of the body
